The Mind Tells Stories, the Body Speaks the Truth.

Learning to differentiate between the old beliefs & present moment needs is what changes everything.

The line between tending to your needs and entertaining old stories and beliefs is sometimes blurry. It requires deep level self awareness to be able to see through the story and bear witness to the underlying belief without confusing a symptom, challenge or an obstacle for being the full story of what you need right now.

Not every need that arises in your body requires tending the same way. Some needs we nurture, we nourish and we deeply follow into the unknown. We learn to care for ourselves in new ways. We follow through even though we do not fully know where it’s taking us. We may not even understand why we have to do what we have to do. There’s a deep trust and inner knowing present. It’s not impulsive or controlling but surrendering to what is present.

Some needs are old beliefs in disguise, trying to convince us of their stories. The other types of needs we learn to see through. We learn to question and we take a pause before following. And we learn to differentiate the old protective patterns from our current needs. We learn to distinguish between a self sabotage and showing up. We build our capacity so that we can hold space for the deeper wisdom to unravel.

We practice listening the sensations and emotions thorugh the body without building a story around them. We learn to dive to the roots of these needs which often hold unmet emotions (fear, grief and anger). Instead of entertaining the surface need to hide or self sabotage, we dig deeper. Then we hold space for the parts of us that are hiding under the surface. Because those parts of you hold the real wisdom. They carry the answers and the medicine you need.

These old stories often surface when you’re trying to level up.

Because the old ways of being always come back when you get close to resolution. So don’t be discouraged if you find yourself yet again with the same old story or an experience. It is not the same, you are not same so approach it with curiosity. It is a portal to finally meet those parts of yourself so that you can choose to move forward differently.
